习练该式动作,保持心神专注,神不外驰至关重要。这里的神不外驰应有几层意思:首先是开合张弛有度。 “蓄劲如开弓,发劲如放箭。”这里所谓的蓄劲发劲,正是张与弛,即经常讲的一开一合,在开合过程中身、形、息要柔和绵缓,不可无度地使猛劲。其次,开合松紧有度。习练健身气功既然是一种运动,必然会有紧有松,只松不紧要躺下,只紧不松也要僵住,其理甚明。再次,开合用意不用力。全身松开的目的是“不致有分毫之拙劲”以便“轻灵变化,圆转自如”和“意之所致,气即至焉”。

所以,习练该式的理想状态是“致虚极,守静笃”。致虚极就是要做到空到极点,没有一丝杂念与污染,空明一片,湛然朗朗。守静笃讲的是修炼功夫,要一心不二、静心寡欲。致虚者,天之道也。守静者,地之道也。天之道若不致虚,以至于达到至极,则万物之气质不实 。地之道若不守静,以至于至笃至实,则万物的生机便不会发生。

“The Advent of the Phoenix” is the 11th routine of the Health Qigong Daoyin Yang Sheng Gong Shi Er Fa. An ancient poem reads: “Phoenix sings in the flourishing age. Dragon has its own descendants.” Phoenix is a mythological bird, one of the Four ancient sacred creatures in China (the other three creatures are dragon, turtle, and unicorn).
